The Snake Pit |
A late night Badlands haunt which conceals secret satin dens and shadowy corners of wrongness. With dark characters who meet to make deals and play dirty and flaming exotic dancers who play mercilessly with the audience.A key part of the Shangri-la fields at Glastonbury 2009, the Snake Pit was the place to be seen each night. With its lurid green frontage and fantastic decor inside, plus a programme of top cabaret and outstanding bands and DJs, the Snake Pit rocked right through to the morning. The brightFX festival team (aka the TNT Crew) spent the week before the festival building the interior of the Snake Pit, with specially commissioned artwork and intricate laser-cut flame motifs. Each night featured an eclectic mix of cabaret acts, with varying degrees of wrongness, plus excellent bands and DJs and our very special dancers.
